I know this comment is several YEARS after the post, but I'm glad you posted those lyrics. I have been randomly singing this song for about a month now (but always in the shower), thing is after all these years, I wasn't sure about the lyrics I remembered. This is a nice site. I'm an animator now, because of my love for animation and I'm glad you have this blog. I will have to stop by more often, and I will add it to my Blog of Blogs.
Thanks for having the lyrics posted. This was one of my favorite cartoons growing up. I could not remember all the lyrics, just the one line mmmmmask, always riding hot on venoms trail. I would sing this over and over. Now i can sing the whole song. Also found the intro clip on youtube. Brings back memories. Thanks for the post!
It does sound like they're singing "leave the mission" but "lead the mission" sounds more likely. I always thought it was "working all the time", not overtime.
It is indeed "working all the time". English is not even my native language, but it is enough to wear some good headphones to clearly hear what they sing.
@COOLak: Then you really need to study the language more because you are incorrect. The line is most certainly "working overtime". The whole show is about everyday working people leading a dual life fighting crime outside their normal jobs. Hence the phrase "working overtime fighting crime".
No need to be patronising about it. Everyone knows perfectly well what "overtime" means, "working all the time" also makes perfect sense and is less of a silly thing to say. "Working overtime" brings up images of Polish immigrants doing double shifts, not a secret organisation dedicated to fighting crime.
@Michael: "Working overtime" makes FAR more sense (and is correct) when you consider the the whole plot of the show. They are NOT "working all the time" fighting crime because all the characters have regular, mundane jobs. If they spent "all" of their time fighting crime they wouldn't be working as a veterinarian and pet store owner (Alex), as a toy designer (Sato), as a pizza cook and delivery driver (Dusty), or a rock star (Brad).
I am using my brain.I know they've got other jobs, but they abandon those jobs when they get the signal from MASK.If you're going to get technical about it, they're not working overtime (which means staying on to do more of the same), they're working a second job.
He's right about the last verse and masked charades. I never thought about masquerade. Though it makes sense, it is very easy to hear masked charades. I heard it the whole time I was growing up. A lot of songs from the 80s were misheard. Remember the fruity marshmallow krispies commercial? I don't think any of us misheard that one though.
It is funny and sad that people are getting so upset over this. I have, what the scientific world refers to as an eat-at-it memory. which means I remember everything exactly as it really is and THESE are the lyrics I remember when I was growing up.
Masked crude rapers, Blurting Odin Rhymes, Biting rinds, biting rinds! Secrete raisons who will brutalize, A boom if they align, at the light Doctor’s gonna bleed the fission, My rectum’s got no soup cohesion MY MOMMA MIGHT ASK!! If the White and powdered cat can shave the ape? MY MOMMA MIGHT ASK!! If no one knows that lesbians can masturbate! MY MOMMA MIGHT ASK!! Are we biting not on Jenna’s tail? John Cena’s manta ray Finally ate!

The song is longer than that there's another verse to the song
There's a couple mistakes:
'lead the mission' is actually 'leave the mansion', and 'Masquerades!' is actually 'Masked charades!'
The second verse repeats the song from Trakker's gonna leave the mansion, preceded by the lines:
Vicious VENOM, organizing crime, mastermind... masterminds.
Illusion is the ultimate weapon MASK can... use it right... every time... any time.
You're on crack if you think your corrections to the lyrics are right. It's "Trakker's gonna lead the mission."

I´m agreeing with Michael. My favorite M.A.S.K. agent Brad Turner (Hocus Pocus/Condor) is a rock musician, and he will leave even during a gig/show.
Dusty Hayes is a pizza cook who will leave whilst throwing the pizza in the air.
Perhaps Matt Trakker is paying off the companies that the agents work for, so they can just leave when they are called upon, and they wont get fired?
Let´s not get angry, it´s a great show.

(drops mic, walks away)
Nailed it!
This is hands-down the funniest thing I've read online in a long time. Thank you.
It's "working overtime" because they are doing this in addition to their regular jobs.
Again, that's not overtime, overtime is when you do more of your regular job.
The man who actually sang the M.A.S.K. theme song confirmed that it is indeed "working overtime". And it's "their masked charades", not "masquerades".
Aaron, cite your source. Show me the proof.
